Manyou Ma
Hello! I am a Ph.D. student studying wireless networking at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada, advised by Dr. Vincent Wong and Dr. Robert Schober. I primarily work on resource allocation in 5G and beyond mobile wireless networks, with a focus on optimizing content freshness in caching systems. From July 2021 to January 2022, I interned at Samsung AI Centre-Montreal, where I worked on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (MARL)-based load balancing in mobile edge computing (MEC) networks.
Previously, I received my M.A.Sc (2016) in electrical engineering from UBC, where my research focused on beamforming for biomedical ultrasound, under the supervision of Dr. Robert Rohling and Dr. Lutz Lampe. We developed a novel dual-stage beamforming method for imaging organs beneath thick layers of subcutaneous fat. Before that, I received my B.Eng (2014) in Honours Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
